Andrew Brett's Story
Okay, after high school tried my hand at college. I didn't really feel comfortable going. Everyone else was going but it didn't really work for me. So I had a few odd jobs around B'ton. Toys R us, Scott Signs Systems, Bealls stockroom. Then I started a heavy metal band called Torque with two other guys (Manatee High class of '89) in the early 90's. Played around the state. ho was working at the Bishop Planetarium, ask me if I wanted a "part time job" working security for the lasers shows. 3 months later I was hired as the full time laser show producer. I worked there until August 2001 when an electrical fire destroyed the planetarium in the middle of the night. Saddness set in. But then an opening at the Musuem of Science and History planetarium in Jacksonville showed up and now I'm the Planetarium Manager.
